KAREN’S CELEBRATION OF LIFE UPDATES:
After an 11-year battle with breast cancer, Karen Newman passed away the morning of November 13, 2019: in her sleep, out of pain, with a beautiful, sweet smile on her face. Her Celebration of Life service will be held at The Old Lantern in Charlotte, VT, at 10am, Saturday November 30, 2019.
We are attempting to set up a live-stream viewing of the Celebration service (and to record/post it), for those who are unable to attend. Check back here for link details once we have them.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express on Shelburne Rd in South Burlington. They have rooms with 2 queen beds or one king, and include a breakfast buffet. Our room rate is $99/night. They will add more rooms to the block as necessary, if available. The block is held under “Newman Celebration of Life.” To follow is the booking link, or you can call the hotel directly at 802-860-6000. Link: Newman Celebration of Life
The holiday weekend could change the attendance numbers drastically, so it would help us if you could RSVP. If you plan to attend and are not one of Karen’s Facebook followers, please RSVP with the number in your party to
[email protected] Thank you!
And thank you for loving Karen and helping to make her life so joy-filled! Whether you knew her personally or not, she was so uplifted by the prayers, comments and feedback from both friends and strangers. It was truly her joy to know she was making a difference, helping people to heal from addictions, shame and unworthiness, and pointing them to God and Jesus.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations be made to either:
Healing Winds: electronically at https://www.healingwindsusa.org/donate/ or by check to Healing Winds Vermont, 240 Battery St, Burlington, VT 05401; or
The Cancer Patient Support Foundation at https://www.cpsfvt.org/donate.html
I am so glad that you are here. Make yourself at home, explore and stay as long as you wish.
May the words, stories, music, pictures, videos, and testimonials inspire you—to be your authentic self, to find opportunities amidst the challenges, and to discover your limitless potential.
My prayer is that you come back often, spread the word, share your comments and always leave here full of peace and joy, reminded of God’s amazing grace and unconditional love for you.
Live Victorious, Loved, and Free.
